Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to San Jose

During the first day of adventure, we will meet the travellers at the hostel in the city of San Jose, from where we will embark the next day our trip to the southeast of the country to settle in the caribbean coast.

Day 2: We go to the Caribbean

On our second day, we arrive at the fishing village of Puerto Viejo where we can relax, unwind, and let ourselves be carried away by the energy of the place. This place is a paradise for lovers of the beaches you can enjoy surrounded by exotic flora and fauna.

Day 3: Deep in Cahuita

On our third day of adventure we will depart from the hostel to the Cahuita National Park. There, we will have time to take in the sun and give us a refreshing swim in the caribbean waters of the reserve. Also, we will be able to enjoy a walk of the lush flora of the park, and the characteristic fauna of central america: monkeys, raccoons, sloths, turtles, a variety of insects and birds.

Day 4: A tour beach

We will leave the hostel in the direction of the south, very close to the border with Panama. We arrive at the beach Manzanillo, and there we will enjoy a swim in its waters to cool off from the heat of the caribbean. Also we will visit the National Wildlife Refuge Gandoca - Manzanillo where we take a small hike up to the mirador of the park from where we will have an unparalleled view of the ocean. 

Day 5: Heading to the adventure capital

After breakfast, we will drive from Old Port to the northwest of the city of San José, specifically, we will arrive to the community of La Fortuna. There we will have the afternoon free to do any activity, or tour the picturesque city.

Day 6: The river most impressive of all

To continue marveling at our destination, throughout this day we will trek through the Tenorio Volcano National Park. We will travel through various paths between humid tropical forest, we face with the fauna and flora in all its glory, you will feel the different smells and sounds that characterize this place so we will have to have our five senses more activated than ever. We arrive at the spectacular Rio Celeste in the slopes of the Tenorio Volcano, we will be able to get down to your waterfall and an in-depth understanding of why the waters of the river acquires the color so special.

Day 7: A day full of adventure

Temprano por la mañana saldremos del hostel e iremos a realizar una travesía en rafting por el Río Balsa, un hermoso río rodeado de selva tropical cerca del Volcán Arenal. Tendremos la oportunidad de combinar la emoción y adrenalina que genera esta actividad con la belleza de la selva tropical. Podremos aprovechar los tramos más tranquilos para disfrutar el entorno y avistar animales como monos, perezosos y diversas especies de aves. Podrás descansar durante la tarde u optar por visitar el mirador del Volcán Arenal.

Day 8: Immersed in nature

Early morning we will drive to Monteverde, a region famous for its cloud forests that are home to countless species of fauna such as jaguars, ocelots, and the colorful quetzal bird. We will arrive to our destination in the early hours of the afternoon and we will have free time to enjoy this beautiful place.

Day 9: In the clouds

Early in the morning we will make an impressive tour zip lines where we will have the privilege of walking through the jungle of costa rica from the air. In addition we will be able to make a jump to the Tarzan and fly like Superman through the air. In the afternoon, we will do the incredible tour of the Hanging Bridges, to enjoy from different heights, the landscape that nature provides us.

Day 10: Heading to the tropical paradise

After breakfast, we start our journey towards the coastal town of Manuel Antonio. On the way, we will make a stop at the Tarcoles River where we will have the privilege of spotting crocodiles in their natural habitat. Once in our accommodation we will be able to rest and replenish your energy to enjoy the adventures that await us.

Day 11: Blinded by the Pacific

After breakfast, we will leave the hostel with destination to the Manuel Antonio National Park where we will carry out various activities; mainly we will have time to enjoy the pristine beaches, which is home to the area and we will be able to do some hiking the various trails enabled.

Day 12: Manuel Antonio to taste

We will have the day free to explore to taste Manuel Antonio: enjoy its spectacular beaches, get to know the place in greater depth through a walk, leaving us surrounded by the nature or to perform some other activity that there are offers.

Day 13: Heading to the capital

On our penultimate day we will move to San Jose and then we will have free time to explore part of the capital.

Day 14: Return to the place of origin

Because a great trip is to (re)know each other on what they had learned. It is always important to return to the place of origin to share experiences, photos, and experiences that we have embodied throughout our stay.

 During this day we will be saying goodbye to the travelers who accompanied us during these days of adventure in Costa Rica.
