Day 1: Welcome and we go to El Chaltén

On our first day we will be finding with the travelers who will accompany us in this adventure in El Calafate where we will travel to El Chaltén is located in the los Glaciares National Park, in the province of Santa Cruz. Once there we will be staying at the accommodation to rest and prepare for everything that is waiting for us.

Day 2: Surrounded by nature

We will start our day with a rich breakfast and then start our first trekking in this place of dreams; this walk will be about 7 km (in total) to go into the forest until you reach a beautiful waterfall of around 20 metres in height called Salto El Chorrillo. We will have time to admire the surroundings, this beautiful waterfall to your stream and I take a pause to connect with the nature. Then return to the village to enjoy the rest of the day as more you want.

Day 3: Exploring the Lagoon Tower

On our third day of adventure awaits us a grand tour. We will have a walk of about 4 hours to get to our goal: the Laguna Torre, laguna glacier in the massif of the same name. The trail will take us through the valley of the rio Fitz Roy and several viewpoints, the first one located in a gorge of the river that will give you a panoramic view of several hills and Mount Fitz Roy. We can go down to the lake to appreciate the numerous icebergs that are usually detached from the Great glacier, in addition to admire the magnificent panorama of the granite massif of the Tower. In the afternoon we returned to our hotel to rest.

Day 4: In search of the Huemul Glacier and the lake of the Desert

We will start the day by enjoying the breakfast and then go to the area south of the Lake of the Desert, located about 37 km from El Chaltén, where we will begin our trek of the day. It will be a short walk and relaxed, in which we will go to a forest of Beech and we can enjoy the peace of mind that we will give away this natural environment. We will have a beautiful panoramic view of the valley of the rio De las Vueltas and the Fitz Roy before reaching the incredible laguna Huemul, fed by the glacier of the same name. From there, if the weather allows, we will have an excellent view of the north face of Fitz Roy and Lake of the Desert. Once back to El Chaltén, we will have the rest of the day free to relax as we expect an intense day and with a lot of activity.

Day 5: A day full of adventure

Our fifth day will start early in the morning to make one of the most popular trekking that will take us to the lookout point that is closest to the towering walls of the Fitz Roy and its needles granite peripheral. In total walk is about 25 km away, and it will be after the first four hours of beginning the trek to reach the lake Of the Three, that will give you a view of not only the lake but also of the glacier of the same name and mount Fitz Roy. There are to know that the effort will have been worth it, we will have time to admire the grandeur of nature in all its glory before embarking on the return.

Day 6: Road to El Calafate

After a day of excitement and activity, we have this day to rest and recover from what has been lived. We will have breakfast and leave this beautiful corner of the country back to head to El Calafate, a town near the edge of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, also in the Province of Santa Cruz without a doubt god will not leave us indifferent. Once in the city, we will check into our accommodation and we will have the rest of the day to walk through it to taste.

Day 7: the land of The glaciers

Our seventh day is free to enjoy The Calafate as you want. An optional activity that you propose is to get to know the incredible Perito Moreno Glacier declared a world Heritage site. Is starts crossing the Lake is Rich in a vessel accompanied by the impressive view of the south face of the glacier. Then the tour begins with a walk along the coast of the lake. When you reach the edge of the glacier it is necessary to put crampons and helmets to walk safely through this paradise ice cream. During the walk you can see the variety of formations typical of a glacier and deep crevices, sinks blue, huge seracs, and lagoons, turquoise. After a time to absorb and process this incredible place, it returns a path which crosses the andean patagonian forest and is terminated by visiting the runways of the Glacier before returning to the city.

Day 8: Farewell

On our last day we say goodbye in El Calafate travelers who accompanied us on this adventure. Because a great trip is to (re)know each other on what they had learned. It is always important to return to the place of origin to share experiences, photos, and experiences that we have embodied throughout our stay.
