On this occasion, the proposal of adventure will take place in the Protected Area with Resources Managed Wetlands of St Lucia. Specifically we will enter the area, the town of Santiago Vázquez, with its 3800 inhabitants, and located at the mouth of the Santa Lucía River in the Rio de la Plata, it is the last village that is conserved in Montevideo until the day of today.
From there we will have the opportunity to access the area of the Wetlands of the Santa Lucia, an ecosystem that includes more than 20 thousand hectares. Since February 2015, these wetlands are part of the protected natural Area called Wetlands of the Santa Lucia, which integrates the National System of Protected Natural Areas of Uruguay, under the category of Resources Managed.
The area features plant formations native, mt coastal and mountain park, as well as sandy beaches, rocky points and islands river. This diversity of environments provides habitat for numerous species of animals, including a great variety of migratory birds. Likewise, this area constitutes a unique environment in the country for the fulfillment of the reproductive cycle of maritime species of value to the fishing industry.
So on this day we can cross this corner of the country's natural from different angles; making a tour of boating and perceiving this ecosystem from within and also we'll do a hike through the town of Santiago Vázquez, uncovering the curiosities houses.

Itinerary
Day 1
We will leave from the centre of Montevideo and we will go directly to the people of Santiago Vasquez. Once there, we can enjoy the beautiful view of the river and we prepare to start our day of adventure.
We will go up to the boats and give us a statement of rowing to keep in mind during the day. We will visit a total of about two hours the various channels that are found in the wetlands and we will enjoy the landscape and interpreting the flora of the place.
Once the circuit in canoes, we will make a picnic for lunch and then we will make a guided tour through the town of Santiago Vázquez to know a little more about their history and their heritage value. The conclusion of this tour, we will start our return journey to the center of the city and we will complete the day's adventure by Montevideo Rural.
