There are few places in the world that have the natural diversity that has Chile and we will accompany you to discover it. In this opportunity we will travel to the south of this country to immerse ourselves in the Chilean Patagonia, and together with a group of adventurers to go into the spectacular Torres del Paine National park using one of the trekking more beautiful of the american continent: the circuit W. This park is internationally recognized as one of the most amazing places and unique on the planet.

We start our adventure in Punta Arenas then move to Puerto Natales desde donde llegaremos al Parque. Durante 5 días recorreremos unos 86 km entre glaciers, rivers, snow-capped peaks and forests. Watch and enjoy the flora and fauna and marvel at the attractive most iconic of the park as are the Towers that give it its name, the Horns, the French Valley, Paine Grande and the Grey Glacier.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Punta Arenas

Throughout this first day, we will meet the travellers at the hostel of the city of Punta Arenas. We can rest and go out to discover the surroundings of the capital of the Region of Magellan.

Day 2: Arrival to Puerto Natales

After a delicious breakfast we will depart by bus to Puerto Natales. We arrive at the terminal of this city where we will be waiting for our guide to accompany us to the accommodation. Once there we'll talk about the organization and activities in the park, in addition to preparing for the adventure and rest.

Day 3: Deep into the Torres Del Paine National Park

Early in the morning we leave from Puerto Natales to head to the Torres del Paine National Park. In the portería Laguna Amarga, we will do the check-in, in addition to chat about the National Park and its care. We will travel by vehicle to the camp, where we will leave our things e iniciaremos un trekking al famoso Mirador Base Torres, allí apreciaremos estos gigantes de granito “Torres del Paine” y su hermosa laguna homónima color turquesa. Si tenemos suerte, podremos observar pumas. Será una jornada de 22 km en total, con una dificultad alta. 

Already back in the camp we will have time to feed and rest.

Day 4: The wonders of the Paine

After breakfast and getting dressed, we will embark on the hike to the next camp, we will pass through the refuge The Horns to eat and rest. On route we stop at the lake Norkdelhold, a large body of water the color of turquoise with beautiful beaches where you can relax and view the impressive Horns of the Paine national park and its waterfalls. 

Al avanzar nos adentraremos en un gran bosque de lengas y coihues centenarios con una biodiversidad de aves muy especial. Seguiremos la ruta hasta el campamento donde acamparemos en el bosque resguardados por el Paine Grande y su glaciar colgante. En total, esta jornada caminaremos 18 km.

Día 5:  Mirador Francés

Nos levantaremos temprano para encaminarnos al campamento donde dejaremos nuestras pertenencias. Desde allí comenzaremos el ascenso por el Valle del Francés hasta el mirador; en el camino nos detendremos para apreciar el glaciar francés, ver y oír grandes desprendimientos de hielo y avalanchas, además de observar los principales lagos del Paine y la cordillera Pratt, también los cerros Espada, Hoja y Máscara,  y enormes formaciones de granito muy similares a las Torres.

Luego retornaremos al campamento para buscar nuestras pertenencias y avanzaremos hasta el siguiente refugio donde dormiremos; podremos ver el lago Skotberg y el lago Pehoe. Este día caminaremos unos 18 km. 

Day 6: Mirador Grey

Temprano por la mañana iniciaremos nuestro trekking rumbo al mirador del Glaciar Grey. En el camino pasaremos por la Laguna de los Patos, bordearemos el macizo Paine Grande hasta llegar al mirador del Lago Grey. Aquí podremos apreciar los témpanos flotantes del Glaciar Grey y el Campo Hielo Sur, la tercera fuente de agua dulce más grande del planeta. Llegaremos al mirador del Glaciar donde apreciaremos enormes paredes de hielo e imponentes icebergs, antes de regresar al campamento para pasar la noche. Este dia, habremos caminado en total unos 22 km.

Day 7: Lake Pehoé, Salto Grande and Cuernos

In our last day inside the park we will make a trek of 6 km in total up to the mirador del lago Pehoé, then we cruise on a catamaran across the lake to the point where we will embark on a short walk of 1 km up to the mirador del Salto Grande and el mirador Horns. Then we will depart by bus to Puerto Natales, we arrive in the evening so you can relax in the accommodation.

Day 8: Farewell To Magallanes 

On this last day in the Magallanes region, we will be free to perform any activity preference, we can recommend you the Milodon Cave, or a viewpoint near as Laguna Sofia or Cerro Dorotea, close to Home. Ending the day we will take a bus from Natal to the accommodation in Punta Arenas. 

Day 9: Return to the place of origin

Porque lo lindo de volver de viaje es (re)conocernos en lo aprendido. Siempre es importante regresar al lugar de origen para compartir las vivencias, las fotos y las experiencias que hayamos encarnado a lo largo de nuestra estadía.

During this day we will be saying goodbye to the charm chilean and embark on the return journey to our countries of origin.

What is not included?

Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks that are not listed, are for the account of each traveler. You can choose where and with whom to eat. The budget will depend on the type of place, but are generally estimated USD 30-35 per day, including lunch and dinner. It also does not include drinks at any meal.

For you to travel in company, we can advise you and give you the information about flights in which he travels the majority of the group of travelers and the team of Voltage. Remember that the first and last day of the itinerary, you can arrive or leave at any time.

The demand is high. In this adventure we will be doing a trekking of about 85 km, experimenting with different climates and carrying our own luggage in several sections so both our physical condition must be very good.

For this trip, we recommend you take an approximate of $ 500 for costs of meals not included, and others.  

Those who move back and forth from your country of residence to Punta Arenas, Chile. We will recommend you the best option available to you once you have contacted. Remember that the higher the advance you buy your flight, the better will be the price that you can get.
